Gladiator Oh my guy. First off, this is a beautifully directed movie. I mean, Ridley Scott is one of the most brilliant directors in the movie industry today. And, of course, any movie with Russell Crowe can't be bad. Joaquin Phoenix plays the perfect bad guy. He's so easy to hate and want to reach through the screen and choke. The score is brilliant. Maximus personifies the score- it's strong and heroic. All in all, this is a good movie. The acting is fabulous and the script is well written. It takes you right back to ancient Rome. --Marina Rudduck
